Over the weekend, we had Rayyan's 8-month checkup appointment with his pediatrician.

Upon seeing her, Rayyan who used to be oblivious to the needle jabs for vaccines, now at 8 months, is not that oblivious anymore.

The doctor said to him,

"Hi Rayyan! Wahh you got so big! What did you eat?"

He didn't move a muscle. Stared (as usual) at the nice doctor for good long 5 minutes.

And..finally let out a huge cry.

T.T

Another late post. I shall improve after this, okay?

Can't stress enough how much I love Line 32 tops. This is another one of my favorites - a simple top in white and brown shade. They have another one in a bright shade of green, but I wasn't sure I'm bold enough to pull it off.

So white, brown and black it is.

Missed this tab yesterday. FAIL!

Anyway, this was what I wore yesterday. Remember the Zara skirt I love so much during pregnancy? It's making its comeback!

If there's one thing I love at the moment, it's gotta be this.

After pregnancy and giving birth, my skin hasn't really been on its good self - I had breakouts coming front right and center. Though it didn't look so obvious in pictures, it really was in real life. (I'm thankful for Instagram and VSCO apps really)

My skincare products weren't helpful at all, neither did cheap pharmacy products I used to get from Guardian and Watson. So I went to Sephora, totally had my white flag in the air and asked the salesgirl there for help.

She gave me this.

..I know, RIGHT?!

It started months ago, when I received an email from a ZALORA rep - with a 'Collaboration' header. I don't do sponsored reviews where vendors would give free stuff to bloggers to do reviews; I just do the conventional buying-the-goods-from-store-and-review because I think it's a lot more personal and urm, honest.

Since I've experienced online shopping with ZALORA, I decided to do it. After all, it was my own experience. The rep also gave me the topic I found close to my heart (and this blog); to write about bags.

So I did.

So this was what I wore yesterday.

It's a top I haven't worn..since pregnancy, I think. Got a love-hate relationship with this one.

The pros of this top :

+ It's made of tweed, so it looks appropriate and chic (think Chanel!)
+ It's soft pink in color with cream-colored sleeves
+ The length of the top covers my bum

The cons of this top :

+ Because it's tweed, it makes the material thicker than any other tops I own
+ Not nursing friendly

Decided to wear it anyway to work.

So Day 2 of doing this tab. Isn't so bad!

"Cantik seluar awak. Mana beli?"

Felt like pastels today. A colleague asked if the top and pants actually came together in a set, because of the colors haha. But yes I'm loving pastels now! Told her that it's my favorite pants and I have it in another color; which she has noticed too recently.

Just a thought that came to my mind today.

I've been terrible at keeping up with what I wear daily to work lately - usually, I'd remember what kind of "colors" I'd be that week; blue, black, white, orange or brown, nude, pink or..white. This helps (A LOT!) in sorting out my laundry and ironing; I would set aside the clothes I want to wear for the coming week and iron and that's it.

But lately..my memory fails me. Can no longer keep track of these things. They should've warned me about this in the motherhood manual T.T

Last night, my husband (who had just returned from a business trip) said to me,

"Babe, I think we need to sleep-train Rayyan. I read this book that said French parents do this and their babies sleep through the night. Nak?"

Heck..he actually read French Kids Don't Throw Food during his business trip, I didn't know.

Thinking it'd be good for Rayyan, I obliged. Though the thought of Rayyan crying it out while we just sit still refusing to hold him breaks my heart, I decided to trust Shahrul and go along with it.

Then, night came.

Yup..I've taken the plunge. After years, I'm finally selling my old stuff!

It started in my small apartment back in Hiroshima when I was packing 4 years worth of clothes, books, accessories, magazines, soft toys, scarves..I realized that I could just sell them off and work with something new in the almari. Well, turned out I didn't have that much time - or passion - to take pictures of them, one by one and upload them to a website and advertise them.

Sounded like too much hassle to the then 24-year old me.

But now, say hello to Carousell!

Yesterday, I had an annual assessment called ACD which is a requirement for all the staff in the company. So a few weeks ago (leading up to the big day) I dragged Shahrul to nearby Borders..

To get a new pen.

When asked, I'd tell him,

"I need a new pen to commemorate this assessment. I'd feel better studying; writing notes in my notebook with a new pen"

It's true. It's just an excuse, but it works in boasting my studying spirit nevertheless!
