When I got home from work a few days ago, I noticed something amiss with my right eye. It felt uncomfortable somehow for the whole day but I didn't think there's anything I should be worried about.

Oh, yes. Let's establish this fact first : I wear contact lenses every day, from the last 13 years. (started wearing lenses at the tender age of 16)

Ok back to the story.

So I took a mirror and examined the eye closely. There was something - the lower part of my eye was red, and there was a white something in the area.

Oh, shoot. Probably injured my eye when I was wearing the lenses, I thought. Showed it to my husband, who asked if this has happened before - believe it or not, in the last 13 years, it hasn't. I've had a smooth, clear track record of any injury (contact lenses related).

Until now.

A good friend of Shahrul came to Malaysia last week for a short break. He's Japanese and they've been in the same class since the first year in uni (Shahrul graduated from Kyushu University, one of the most difficult Japanese universities to get into!) so I felt the pressure to bring him around KL.

Then Shahrul said he wants to take his friend to KLCC Skybridge.

"Because I've never been up there"

I thought, OK fine. Even told him that I'm not going to join XD Seen too much of the twin towers that I wasn't even remotely interested pun. But then, I was informed by a colleague that staff are given unlimited passes at 20% off!

Found our way to the Skybridge that Thursday morning.

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Maaf Zahir Batin :)

Basically the most used phrase last week haha. Yes, I basically say that to everyone including my family - they know I don't say things out of ordinary (not much a talker) but I meant it by heart.

So how was Raya? Mine was spent at Penang on the first day, and Dungun (my in-laws) on the second Raya onwards. And our conclusion? Never, ever spend Raya at two kampungs at once - the traffic was horrible, the journey was longgg, with a restless 1 year-old on top T.T

Just the icing on cake, I now have 3 major zits on my face just waiting to explode FML T.T Darn the lemangs and ketupats sobs.

For this year, I've only gotten myself one new decent baju Raya. Like previous years, I don't really believe in spending too much in this department - where you'd probably end up wearing them once a year especially when you rarely wear traditional outfits to the office.

Then it hit me. Since I'm married now, our Raya would require us to be in two places - my hometown on the first Raya, and his hometown on the second, or vice versa - at least this is the arrangement we've made so far since being married.

So..what do I wear for the second Raya?! T.T
